Professor Fiona Chew

Professor, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication, Syracuse University, USA

Professor Fiona Chew has consulted on international and U.S projects for the World Bank, SESAME STREET, MacNeil/Lehrer Productions, the Kellogg Foundation and Hospice of Central New York.  She teaches television research, television and health, persuasive writing, and global communications. Her research focuses on health communication, message analysis, media effects, and diffusion of innovation technology. She authored and presented over 100 reports and has published research in Health Communication, Journal of Health Communication, Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media and Journal of Advertising Research among others.  She is the founding editor of the Journal of Health and Mass Communication.
